While the politicians in DC dither this weekend over the deficit and national debt, the designers of the Newseum in Washington DC had no such problem. This structure, designed by the Polshek Partnership, is a poignant example of how great design can inspire. In fact, it is not the building at all that is important, rather it is the focus of the building – The US Capitol building, where most of the news in DC is generated that creates this awe inspiring sense of place.
