Pantone has dubbed this reddish orange hue ‘Tangerine Tango’ and labeled it as the color of the year for 2012. This is a sophisticated color of the bright oranges which were so popular over ten years ago; however, this color is much easier to work with and will have a longer life as a result. The color is derived from the fashion industries runway shows for the spring / summer 2012 collections and will trickle down to other industries including interior furnishings and finishes. Look for these hues to make their way into fabrics, wall covering and carpets in the coming year.
